RORC Transatlantic Inaugural Racing to start by end November

The RORC Transatlantic Inaugural Racing is about to start on November 29 this year, in collaboration with IMA (International Maxi Association).

The race will start CET 1200 from Lanzarote bound for West Indies- which is 2,995 nautical ml across Atlantic Ocean.

The 2014 edition is speculated to come up with a blistering commencement with low-pressure system arguably to arrive right from northwest the previous day. The fleet involves 4 Maxi Yachts competing for the Line Honours & the exotic trophy mad from sterling silver which has been donated from IMA (International Maxi Association).
British Keel RP78 of Jeremy Pilkington, was the class champion at Mini Maxi Rolex World Championship last September & the strong maxi crew involves Jonny Malbon & Jackson Boutell.

94 Southern Wind is running for the Line Honours. It involves America’s Cup & Admiral’s Cup legendary sailor Lorenzo Mazza, Francesco Mongelli (multiple world champ) & Tim Goodbody.
